8 Beautiful DIY Wedding Chair Decorations
Ideas to Personalise Your Wedding Chair Decorations
In wedding décor, it’s attention to the details that makes the difference in creating a really strong scheme. Wedding chairs used to be largely overlooked or covered up, but stylists discovered they’re a great place to reference colourways, echo elements from the brides or bridesmaids dresses, repeat features from table centrepieces or really emphasise a wedding theme. In short a bit of design attention paid towards wedding chairs décor will really help pull an overall look together. And – they’re a great place to have a little fun along the way.
So we thought we’d look at some ideas to help power up your creative urges, with eight looks to inspire everyone from the craft novice to a wedding event planner looking for simple but effective concepts.
1. Country Chic.
This would be perfect for a country wedding, or someone wanting a soft vintage look. We’ve paired a heart-shaped wreath with a silk bouquet in pretty pinks and whites.
2. Beautiful Bling
This really is a simple idea, but at the same time it’s very elegant and glamorous. Use plenty of white organza ribbon, finished with a diamanté corsage bracelet and a single rose or peonys. We’ve used a silk flower which makes this design even easier to achieve, and means it can be done well before the wedding day.
3. Classic + Chalkboard
The combination of white and green are classic, but with the introduction of a mini chalkboard this treatment has been given an up-to-date twist. You could replace the chalkboard with a printed design or cardboard tag with guest names on them.
4. Vintage Va Va Voom
The centrepiece of this design is four lush silk peonys, tied with two different ribbons – a lace patterned burlap ribbon contrasted with long flowing pieces of white organza. Obviously the peonys are the standout, but the flowing length of the ribbon is the perfect touch for a wedding day.
5. Gorgeous Garland
A nice idea for a beach wedding, however we’d happily use this pretty and fresh design whatever the weather! Start with a premade garland and half your work is already done.
6. Wreath To Wow
A wide jute ribbon secures this artificial ivy intertwined wreath to the chair for a beautiful decoration that is very easy to make and looks a million dollars (but costs very little)!
7. On-Trend Tin
Small tin buckets filled with your favourite floral and tied to chairs with a coloured or white ribbon, make for a very easy to assemble at the last minute idea – and of course the tin pail means your flowers stay fresh the whole day.
8. Refined Ribbons
The ideal chair décor for someone looking to incorporate colour into their wedding scheme. This idea really doesn’t take too much time once you get going and the satin ribbons look beautiful blowing in any breeze.
Little DIY touches here and there are a great way to truly personalise any wedding day. We hope you have fun with these!
Thanks for sharing these lovely ideas my favorite has to be the vintage va va voom.
