Australia's Love Affair with Weddings

Australia's Love Affair with Weddings

According to business and economic analysts IBISWorld, https://www.koch.com.au/collections/people-spend-how-much-on-their-weddings-20110926-1ktnj.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the wedding industry in Australia generated $4.3 billion in revenue in 2011, with this figure predicted to rise to more than $4.7 billion by 2016.

So while a false perception exists that the wedding is a thing of the past, wedding industry reports, and figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, show that the actual number of weddings taking place has continuously increased over the past 5 years. In 2012, the number of registered marriages in Australia rose to an all-time high of 123,244 couples.

To some, statistics aren't the most exciting thing in the world, but they're necessary when trying to understand any industry. So to make things a touch more exciting we decided to spice our wedding stats up by presenting them in the form of an infographic.
