Start by choosing the basket you want to use as your base. Traditionally, woven wicker baskets with handles are used as Easter baskets. However, if you’re looking for something a little different, a tin basket or bucket is also a good option. Now select some of your favourite craft items to dress your basket with. Remember that bright pastel colours work best for Easter décor. Some of our favourite craft items include artificial flowers & greenery, cotton ribbons, decorative Easter eggs, flocked bunny heads, and soft toys. You can also add some shredded paper at the bottom of the basket to help prop up any Easter décor you want to display in your basket. To decorate, take your artificial flowers & greenery and secure them around the handle and rim of your basket using binding wire. You can position the flowers & greenery along the entire handle or cluster them to one side. Just remember to leave enough room to hold the basket if you wish to carry it. Next, take your ribbon and tie two bows on either side of the basket where the handle meets the base. Fill the base of your basket with some shredded paper and arrange your decorative eggs, bunnies, and soft toys inside the basket.

Start dressing your table with an Easter table runner made from linen or lace fabrics. If you want to get a bit inventive you can run squares of artificial moss down the centre of the table to look like a lush field.
