Warranty Coverage
All Koch & Co® cutting tools are covered by the guarantees provided under the Australian Consumer Law.
If your cutting tool is found to have a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship under normal use, we will assess the item and, where appropriate, provide a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
What Is Covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects, including:
- Faulty materials
- Defects in workmanship
- Mechanical failure under normal intended use
- Components that fail due to manufacturing faults
What We Will Do
Where a warranty claim is accepted as a valid manufacturing defect, Koch & Co® will, at its discretion:
- Repair the product using new or equivalent parts; or
- Replace the product with the same product or an equivalent model of equal value and performance where the original product is no longer available.
Any replacement product supplied under this warranty will continue to be covered by the remaining warranty period and the guarantees provided under the Australian Consumer Law.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage or faults resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear from regular use.
- Blunt blades resulting from everyday cutting.
- Misuse, abuse, neglect or improper storage.
- Cutting materials beyond the tool's intended purpose, including wire, hardened metal, masonry or other unsuitable materials.
- Rust, corrosion or staining caused by improper cleaning, drying or storage.
- Accidental damage, impacts, drops or excessive force.
- Modifications, disassembly or repairs carried out by unauthorised persons.
- Use of non-genuine replacement parts, blades or accessories.
- Exposure to unsuitable cleaning products, harsh chemicals or corrosive environments.
- Failure to perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication and sharpening where required.
Caring for Your Cutting Tools
Proper maintenance will help maximise the life and performance of your cutting tools. We recommend:
- Wipe blades clean after each use.
- Remove sap, adhesive and plant residue promptly.
- Dry thoroughly before storing.
- Lightly lubricate pivot points and moving parts as required.
- Store in a dry location.
- Keep blades sharp using suitable sharpening equipment where applicable.

Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe your cutting tool has a manufacturing defect, please contact our Customer Care team and provide:
- Your order number or proof of purchase.
- The product code or SKU.
- A description of the issue.
- Clear photographs showing the fault.
Our team will assess your claim and advise the most appropriate resolution as quickly as possible.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
